Preventive measures for stress corrosion cracking of brazed plate heat exchanger:
Because the mechanism of stress corrosion cracking of metal materials is not fully understood and there are many influencing factors, it is impossible to put forward comprehensive preventive measures at present. However, the existing general measures have also achieved good results in production, mainly including:
(1) Reduce the pressure. When there is residual stress in the heat transfer element, the residual stress can be eliminated by annealing. At the same time, the tensile stress during installation shall be eliminated or reduced as much as possible.
(2) Remove harmful media components
(3) For example, although the uniform corrosion performance of carbon steel is not as good as that of stainless steel, its stress corrosion resistance is better than that of stainless steel. Therefore, when corrosion is easy to occur, it is safer and more economical to use carbon steel.
