People in the industry know that the casing heat exchanger will produce all kinds of dirt after being used for a period of time, and there are many kinds of dirt. Simple scales can be removed by simple methods. For dirt insoluble in acid, alkali and solvent, mechanical cleaning method can be adopted. This method is also commonly used to remove particulate dirt.

Mechanical cleaning is a larger mechanism than dirt adhesion caused by fluid flow or mechanical action, which makes dirt fall off the wall of heat exchanger. The advantage of this method is that it can not only save the reagent cost required for chemical cleaning, but also remove the carbonized dirt and hard dirt that cannot be removed by chemical methods; The discharge and treatment problems caused by cleaning waste liquid after chemical cleaning are avoided; Small steel loss; The cleaned equipment is not easy to corrode. Its disadvantages are: the equipment must be disassembled;  Long cleaning time and high cost; Some cleaning methods can only be performed after a system outage.

According to the methods of mechanical cleaning, it can be divided into two kinds: one is strong cleaning methods, such as water jet cleaning, steam jet cleaning, sand blasting cleaning, high-pressure water jet cleaning, strong cleaning of pipes, etc; The other is soft mechanical cleaning, such as scraper, drill or wire brush descaling and sponge rubber ball cleaning. Different mechanical cleaning methods shall be adopted for different dirt. Mechanical cleaning is a common descaling method in industry, which can remove carbonized dirt and hard scale. However, when mechanical cleaning is adopted, the heat exchange equipment often needs to be disassembled, with long time and high cost.
